SoloStats LIVE is our newest app. It is a revolutionary design in that it uses a smartphone interface to increase the speed of entry by allowing you to "touch type" with your thumbs. It is the fastest stat entry app for volleyball and is 2-3 times faster than any other app in the market.
This means you can take more stats faster and pay more attention to the game. Also because this is now all on your phone which is always connected to the internet, your stats can be backed up immediately so you don’t have to worry about ever losing your stats. And, finally, you can broadcast your stats to the head coach and to fans during the match - making for greater insights and engagement. CAN I STILL USE SOLOSTATS 123 VS SOLOSTATS LIVE?
Yes. You can continue to use SoloStats123. We will continue to make improvements to both products but more advanced features will be in LIVE.

WHAT'S FREE AND WHAT DO I PAY FOR?
SoloStats LIVE has 2 parts now. The stat taking app - which is free. Reports and Live Stats - is a web service called WebReports. Use this link for pricing.
Can Solostats LIVE be used for practice sessions?
For scrimmage yes, but for free form stat taking it will be difficult. Use SoloStats TOUCH for practices and free form stat tracking.
How many teams can I set up?
Stat capture with SoloStats LIVE is always free and available so you can stat as many teams as you want. You will need to subscribe to our premium web services to see stat reports.
Can I use for both high school and club teams?
Yes. See above.
How many people are required to capture stats?
It only takes one person to capture stats. However, you will be able to use SoloStats Touch along with SoloStats123 or LIVE to capture more in-rally touches. You can 2-4 people taking stats to help improve the accuracy.
Can I export my stats to excel, MaxPreps etc?
Yes you can from the WebReports with the Staarter Bundle.
What if my phone dies? Are my stats saved?
Yes. As long as you had an internet data connection while you were taking stats, your stats will be backed up to our servers.
What type of phone can I use?
Currently we support both iOS and Android devices. We recommend at least a 4 inch screen and 4G or LTE data capabilities. However, a live connection is not required for stat taking. You only need it to broadcast live stats.
I don’t have a strong stats background. How do I get started?
You don’t need one. We provide tutorial material on how to interpret stats and an entire Coach Training package called WinNow. Taking stats is very easy. See Support and Training on our website.
Can I take the stats as a fan for my coach?
Yes. You can stat and send the stats LIVE to your coach through SoloStats LIVE’s broadcast capabilities.
Are there tutorials for taking stats?
Yes, tutorials can be found on our website in Support and Training.
I’ve taken the stats, how do I use them to improve the team performance?
We offer a product called WebReports which allows you dive deep into the stats you have accumulated for your team and gain insights about what needs to be improved for your specific team. We also have a number of tutorial videos as well as the WinNow Self Paced Coach Training. Go to Support and Training.

SoloStats 123HOW MANY TEAMS CAN I CREATE AND MANAGE?
You can create and manage as many teams as you like.
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO STAT AND COACH AT THE SAME TIME?
You only enter the action that scored the point and stopped the rally. You are able to watch the entire rally, then enter the stat at the end of the rally. This takes about 3 seconds, then you are ready before the ball is served. You don't need to stat in-rally action which can be fast and hard to follow. You will capture enough stats to understand what is going on for your team. Add the first touch - serve or receive for mor insights.
IF YOU DON'T STAT IN-RALLY ACTION, WILL THERE BE ENOUGH USEFUL INFORMATION?
Yes. SoloStats provides only results based stats since each stat is an action that resulted in a point. You will know how well each rotation is siding out, for example, and how each player is contributing or losing points. Just by looking at the Error Report, you will know what your team needs to improve. And you will be surprised by who is earning points and who is losing points.
WHAT TYPICAL STATS DON'T YOU PROVIDE?
If you only stat the end-of-rally action, then you won't have stats for passing, digging and attack attempts. However, if you have help, these In-Rally Stat buttons are provided. It will take more effort to track these actions since they can be very fast. If you are new to stats, we recommend that you start with just end-of-rally actions. As you get better, you should try receive stats as they only occur once at the beginning of the rally. We provide a better stat for serving rating rather than the typical 0-4 scale where 4 is an ace. We have a stat called "point scoring % by player" which looks like this: Megan PS% = 75%. This means that each time Megan goes back to serve, on average, she will serve 4 times and score 3 points before losing the serve. What you will find is that there are certain players on your team who will consistently serve more balls than other player although their aces numbers aren't very high. Think of this as the "Moneyball" on-base percentage stat. The player that's not a 350 hitter but walks a lot and gets on base. This is the player you want serving early in your rotations.

How do I get my child’s stats?
If you can’t see your child’s stats in your account, send a request to you coach to link your account to your child’s stats.
How is a lifetime stat record created for a player?
Each season’s stats are stored in your child’s account. As your coach uses SoloStats LIVE, you will be able to see lifetime stats.
How do I use SoloStats FAN during recruiting?
You will have your child’s stats for each season which you can send to recruiters. Also, in the near future video will be integrated so when your coach uses SoloStats VIDEO, stats synced to video will be available to you. You can instantly create highlight videos that you can send to colleges.
How do I watch the stats away from the court?
Just open your SoloStats FAN app and tap the current match. All the play-by-play info will be displayed anywhere you are. You just need your phone and a couple bars of data connection.
Can I watch SoloStats Fan through TeamSnap?
Yes. In the near future, SoloStats LIVE data will be streamed to your TeamSnap app.
Who controls which player’s stats I see?
The coach has control over what stats are shown to each family.

Solostats VIDEOWhat type of video and video camera do I need?
Any modern HD camcorder will work. It’s basically about how high a quality level you want to record. GoPro cameras work just fine and are a good choice for hostile volleyball tournament environments. GoPro cameras can be hit by a ball and not be broken.
Can I export my stats to HUDL?
Yes. If you have a SoloStats LIVE Intermediate bundle, you will have access to HUDL export from WebReports.
What do I do with my video?
Upload to Youtube then copy the link and paste into SoloStats VIDEO to sync with your stats. If your school has Hudl you can upload to there, export your stats from WebReports to Hudl.
Do I have to manually sync each point?
No. You sync the first stat with the first action in the video and the rest is automatically synced. Then you just need to make a few adjustments. It’s very fast.
Can I make adjustments to the timing of a stat action?
Yes. You can make either single item adjustments or an entire range.
What if a stat doesn’t match the video and it’s wrong?
You can edit your stat by changing the player or action. You can also add in-rally stats that you may have missed or put in incorrectly.
Can I share the synced video?
Yes. Two ways. If you filter for a player, then press the Create HTML button and you will have a link to each action. Or you can copy the URL at the top of the SoloStats Video page and send that to your players. They will have full access to filter and view but won’t be able to access the Setup.
WebReportsWhat is WebReports?
WebReports is the report and analysis feature of SoloStats LIVE. It provides over 20 reports and cuts the stats into many different views to allow you gain key insights into your team.
How many reports do you have?
Over 20. A full range from summary, rotations, player, rankings, trends, skills, box scores and more.
What kind of analysis is built in?
If you go to the Analyze tab, you will see receive and serve rotations. If you click on the rotations with the low percentage numbers, the table will expand to show details. You can easily tell who is causing errors in each rotation and what skill. This will help you to pinpoint not only your weak rotations but how to fix it. If you tie WebReports to video with SoloStats Video, you would be able to SEE the errors and further improvement your understanding of the problem.
The Player Ranking tab allows you to see how your players are earning or losing points. You can also rank by skill categories and sort each column to determine if you have the right players on the court. Can I choose what Matches and Game that I want to aggregate into a report?
Yes. There’s a selector that allows you to choose down to a game level or the entire season and any combination between.
Can I compare one tournament to another?
Yes. You can open as many windows into WebReports as you like. So you could have one webreports aggregate stats for Tournament 1 and another for Tournament 2
CAN I SORT COLUMNS?
Yes. This a powerful feature when you have a table with many columns. Just click on the heading and sort on the stat to see who’s doing well or not.
CAN YOU EXPORT?
Yes. We support Excel, Maxpreps and Hudl. By September we will support NCAA export through Preso Sports.
DO YOU HAVE NCAA BOX SCORES?
Yes. And XML export is coming soon.
CAN YOU CUSTOMIZE THE COLUMNS?
Yes. In WebReports Pro, you can complete choose what columns to show in each report and make as long or short a report table as you want.

Rotate123Why do I need Rotate 123?
Optimizing your rotations can help you win more games. The process can take hours using paper and pencil. You can test many options in minutes with Rotate 123.
What is Rotation Optimization?
It is the process of finding the right formations for the players you have. Standard formations such as 5-1 and 6-2 may need to be modified because the players on your team may not fit each role perfectly. By selecting the right player in the right formations in the right rotation at the right time, you can gain 2 to 6 point per game.
How do I learn Rotation Optimization?
We have a tutorial that you can follow in our Learning Center. Once you've done this, we would be happy to answer any questions by email.
Is Rotate 123 for Novice Coaches or Experts?
Both. We have over 1000 users, half are college coaches, the other half are high school and junior's club coaches. For the novice coach, we provide templates that allow you to create formations instantly. For the expert coach, we have Rotate 123 Pro which provides complete flexibility to allow you to design any formation you want and do any type of substitution. In addition, the Match Ups feature allows you compare your team's formations against your opponent's. Compare offense to defense, serve to receive for every formation. Look at all the possible combinations in minutes, plan your practices and be prepared any changes your opponent might make. The Match Ups feature is part of the Pro package.
What if I don't know what offense to use?
Rotate 123 has 4-2, 5-1, and 6-2 offenses built in. Just select one and see how it works for you.
What if I already have a lineup I want to use?
Just pick the template (4-2, 5-1, etc.) that matches your setup, enter your roster and get going. Make any customizations you want and save them. When you change your starters or make substitutions, it will ripple through your formations automatically.
Can I customize my receive, defensive and offensive formations?
Yes, once you've entered your roster and basic formations, go to each rotation and make the adjustments you like. Save them and and reuse them with new players.
How long will it take to generate all the formations?
Faster than you can type in your roster! The formations are generated instantly and there are many options to choose from. You can then spend your time customizing player locations, your starting lineup and substitutions.
How many formations can I create?
You can use the basic templates and modify them to create as many different version as you like. Save them and use them over again.
How do I retrieve my prior work?
Just log in to your account and any game plans you saved will be right at your fingertips.

You can capture stats for FREE in SoloStats Touch, LIVE, 123 and Clipboard. Anytime, anywhere and for any number of teams. To see the stats Reports, you need to purchase a Starter Bundle subscription.
How do I change plans?

How do I cancel?
You are in control of your auto renewal in your PayPal account.
How do I cancel a subscription? Canceling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be canceled up until the day before the next scheduled payment in order for you not to be charged.
Will my data be saved if I cancel and then renew?
Yes. We never delete data from our servers. You can end your subscription this season and renew next season. Your data will still be there. We use Google servers so you don’t need to worry about reliability or safety.
